YYZ-IAH lunch/dinner

Lunch on AC 8113 YYZ-IAH. Shredded salmon with a few pieces of mango and asparagus. Not particularly filling for a 3+ hour flight. IAH-YYC (4+ hours) wasn't any better.

That would be correct. The food is now getting so repetitive that I'm never finishing the meals anymore. I guess that's good for AC, but I've about lost it with the repetition of the food

AC really needs to change out the meals more often. This is WRT to SPML's and "normal" meals.

You should be thankful! AC is watching your waistline.

A fruit plate was an additional dessert option on 787 YYZ-YVR last week.

I opted for the usual cookie and ice cream, but the option was a nice touch.

The fruit was an option on one of my YVR-YYZ flights.

Lucky me, my travel companion wanted sleep instead of dessert.

Fruit has been added to PLH (Premium Long Haul) flights as a dessert option.

A year or two ago, having had about 10 or 15 omelettes in a relatively short period of time, I took a UA flight and they served a very uninspired breakfast of scrambled eggs and something else - and the fact that it was something new absolutely delighted my taste buds even though it so cheap and simple.

I don't know why AC refuses to change its meals.

Interestingly, only 1 fruit taker out of 24 on yesterday's 767. Cookies and Ice Cream still reign supreme.

Did people realize it was an option?

I don't even look at the desert section of the menu on ice cream routes anymore

Yessir. On the menu and prominently displayed on a collapsible trolley.

It was definitely on the menu last week on YVR-YYZ (which I did not keep). Not sure if everyone reads the whole menu - especially the regulars on the route. I didn't and only found out about the fruit option from the SD.

As per photo upthread, I lucked out with both. One pax across the aisle from me chose the fruit.
