Hi all,
I'm seeing a strange thing and wondering if I'm doing something wrong.
I am looking at YUL - PEK fares during August, and without putting in the code, I'm seeing Tango + fare for ~380 one way. However, upon putting in the code, the Tango + fare jumps to ~700. (The latitude / executive fare on the other hand are discounted).
Am I using the code incorrectly, or is there a glitch in the system? Or perhaps also there's another additional promotion that works better than the new promo code?
The dates I'm looking at right now are departing in the week of August 11 - 15.

Not valid on multi-city/open-jaw flights?
First, kudos to Andrew for bringing this promotion to FT! ^
Andrew, when trying to book a multi-city itinerary on aircanada.com, I do not see a place on the web page to enter the promotion code. I entered it on the front page (which accepts round-trip or one-way itineraries) but the code is not retained when I enter my itineray on the multi-city page.
Is there a way to enter the promo code for multi city itineraries?
I am able to build my trip through a series of one-way tickets, but that is obviously not optimal. I want to fly YOW-PEK and PVG-YOW at the end of October, with an open-jaw between PEK and PVG.

OK, I found the answer to my question. Clicking on the "?" next to the promotion code box provided some details, including the statement "Please note that promotion codes apply only to one-way and round-trip bookings (multi-city bookings are excluded)." Rats...
As I said above, I can still book my flight as two one-way tickets.

It does appear the fares from yesterday are gone. I can see a fare as low as $1365 in L before discount in August and $1215 in September for YYZ-HKG

Japan Fuel Surcharge
Not only have the prices to HKG doubled - but the Fuel Surcharge to Japan has gone from $84 - $170. (Ironically the FS from Japan to Canada went from $84 to $0!
Had a ticket on hold to make land arrangements and went back in to confirm and price had gone up al;most $100.
