So we can all get a handle on how they are going to work in the real world, how much they will cost, et c.

Post flight, date, route, original fare basis (T, T+, Lat, etc), and if known, seat inventory (i.e. J9, C7, Z5, I3). If you do upgrade, please also let us know how many empty J seats there were in the cabin, if any. And if you were considering a certificate upgrade, why or why you didn't opt for the LMU.

It would be helpful if this thread could be limited to "just the facts" and no discussion, which could be posted elsewhere. That should make this thread more useful for everyone.

Should anyone want to discuss LMU's further please post in this thread:

No thanks even at 398. 2-300 range I would consider it. I will double check tomorrow for curiosity!

Declined the 598 offer obviously.

Checked in at the 24 hour mark and the LMU was offered @ 249. Have also seen it at almost 500 as well.

Also got a ridiculous offer for an LMU from YUL-CDG on a 70% full Y class and 80% full J class. They offered 1399,99$ @ 24/h before departure. Dropped it down to 999,99$ at 1/h before departure. J class ended filling up on e-upgrades I guess, I made a short rownd during the flight there were only a handfull of seats left.

Anyway, on a 6 hour transatlantic flight, it can't really be worth it...

On another note, I recently did BRU-YUL, for 500$, which I took.

Really? I'm usually on T+ on this route (S, W, V or Q) and have always had the option, but it's always for $179.00.

I can't imagine anyone would pay that much for an hour in J on an E90.

Yeah I'm on this route quite a bit and the cheapest being on a Tango YEG-YVR I think $179, but all my recent YEG-YVR-LAX(all T+) and back has been $200+++.... Only a fool would pay this

The above LMU was at 23 hours before departure. Just checked tonight at 14 hours before departure and price has dropped to $399 Plus tax = total $447.

Flew this route regularly in 2011. For the first half of the year it wasn't uncommon to see a $99 upgrade after that I never did see it that low again.

Totally not worth it. Flew once YYC to YVR in order to make a hope to YEG (mileage run) and was upgraded due to oversold situation. Got warm banana bread for breakfast. Sheesh.

To put it in perspective, I recently had a YWG-YYC(Which is longer than YEG-YVR) for $99.. So the $99's are still around, but it seems YEG-YVR is high.
