So we can all get a handle on how they are going to work in the real world, how much they will cost, et c.

Post flight, date, route, original fare basis (T, T+, Lat, etc), and if known, seat inventory (i.e. J9, C7, Z5, I3). If you do upgrade, please also let us know how many empty J seats there were in the cabin, if any. And if you were considering a certificate upgrade, why or why you didn't opt for the LMU.

It would be helpful if this thread could be limited to "just the facts" and no discussion, which could be posted elsewhere. That should make this thread more useful for everyone.

Should anyone want to discuss LMU's further please post in this thread:

Sep 21.

Was offered LMU during OLCI @ $ 989 YYZ-LHR while WL (R goes to 0 at T-7 as usual). Going to play aerolotto instead. 15 seats opened on seatmap. J/C/D/Z all @ 9.

Quick update on Sep 22.

SEs/Es lost out to LMU and Business standby. J was full at the end. R stays at 0 and no upgrade for me and others.

YYZ - YVR this evening, offered @ OLCI for $498. I paid $314 for the flight, so are they kidding? Declined. I'll roll the bones on an E-up at the gate.

Does AC actually sell these upgrades? It's much more expensive than US airlines ($200 for YYZ-LAX at AA!)

9/23 YYZ-SAN t+ fare at T minus 24 hours.
$349. Accepted. Otherwise I was sitting in 13B. Middle seat for over 5 hours did not sound appetizing.

As someone who usually occupies the B seat, I completely agree!

Bon vol.

ACV usually offers Executive class for an additional $300 round trip. Why not book your vacation that was and get the certainty of J plus the COS bonus?
