So we can all get a handle on how they are going to work in the real world, how much they will cost, et c.

Post flight, date, route, original fare basis (T, T+, Lat, etc), and if known, seat inventory (i.e. J9, C7, Z5, I3). If you do upgrade, please also let us know how many empty J seats there were in the cabin, if any. And if you were considering a certificate upgrade, why or why you didn't opt for the LMU.

It would be helpful if this thread could be limited to "just the facts" and no discussion, which could be posted elsewhere. That should make this thread more useful for everyone.

Should anyone want to discuss LMU's further please post in this thread:

Clearly a big NO considering it was a o/w T fare for the wife, but much to her surprise she was Op Up'd at the gate for no known rhyme or reason ^ and she's only a lowly E

T-24 hours.
$198 Plus tax.

Obviously declined. If it was $99 I would of accepted it.

that's a heck of a deal. I'd totally accept that. that's basically the price of a T+ fare these days.

It's a bit silly to sell off these seats to T passengers while making others play aerolotto by paying T+

$649 each? Seems low considering YYZ-YVR is approaching that price.

YUL-YYG $218+ aeroplan J reward. J8 for months up to and including the day of departure. Got upgraded at the gate as we should have. The other two passengers never showed up. We were the only one in J.

No, Saraw was not "stealing" anyone's eUpgrades. He/she paid for his/her seat in the J cabin at a price demanded by AC. He/she rightly bumped those on the eUpgrade waitlist.

I flew YYZ-HKG last week and upgraded myself for $899 from Tango Plus 24 hours prior to departure. Thought about it, and decided to treat myself, considering it was a 15 hr flight.

3 people in the aft J cabin, including myself. Considering it was $3400+ one way in Executive Lowest, I'm pretty happy!

Not sure if it was a great deal overall as it was my first ever LMU purchase, but way better than the LMU offered when I flew SFO-YYZ... that upgrade option was approximately $1300.
