So we can all get a handle on how they are going to work in the real world, how much they will cost, et c.
Post flight, date, route, original fare basis (T, T+, Lat, etc), and if known, seat inventory (i.e. J9, C7, Z5, I3). If you do upgrade, please also let us know how many empty J seats there were in the cabin, if any. And if you were considering a certificate upgrade, why or why you didn't opt for the LMU.
It would be helpful if this thread could be limited to "just the facts" and no discussion, which could be posted elsewhere. That should make this thread more useful for everyone.
Should anyone want to discuss LMU's further please post in this thread:

At t-minus 24 hours prior to my 3/8/2012 YYC-YYZ-YQY leg T+ (J4, R2):
YYC-YYZ $349 (still thinking about it)
YYZ-YQY $169 (would decline at that amount, but just checked now and it is no longer being offered even though there are seats free in J cabin)

YVR - YOW $598 plus tax - declined. At that price I could have just bought a business class fare, then I would get the full miles.

No, as per LMU terms and condition on AC website:
"Passengers accumulate mileage, including Air Canada status mileage, as per original fare option they purchased."
