So we can all get a handle on how they are going to work in the real world, how much they will cost, et c.
Post flight, date, route, original fare basis (T, T+, Lat, etc), and if known, seat inventory (i.e. J9, C7, Z5, I3). If you do upgrade, please also let us know how many empty J seats there were in the cabin, if any. And if you were considering a certificate upgrade, why or why you didn't opt for the LMU.
It would be helpful if this thread could be limited to "just the facts" and no discussion, which could be posted elsewhere. That should make this thread more useful for everyone.
Should anyone want to discuss LMU's further please post in this thread:

i am starting to look at this thread for humour to see the amount that they try to get people to pay for upgrades...sadly, many people probably just do it without thinking...some probably assume 650 between YVR and YYZ is a great deal because they remember that business class is a few grand...little do they know you can get it for 799 or lower from time to time...

I suppose if one is flying home after winning a big deal and want to pamper oneself to celebrate .............

i guess e-credits are worth $50 each, but if you had no status and needed to pay for checked bags it's a more decent deal, seems like it left late that day so factoring in the lounge access might be even more worth it at the end

YYC-LAS Mar 31/2012 $249 - Taken
Stats were J8R4 at the time.
It was close on this one, but having no status this year and checking bags made enough of a difference.

But luckily rows 15 & 16 completely cleared out, looks like some SEs go their upgrades and now I've happily secured 2 seats in row 15.

Not surprised this number is a bit lower. Ih ave done a couple of YYZ / YUL - CDG and return flights lately and they have been empty. Our last YYZ - CDG flight went out with 9 people in J and 40ish people in Y, on a 767. Have some more flights coming up at the end of the month, so we will see how full they are. Thankfully still showing J9 / R9 so there might be an upgrade out there for us. Would I pay $799, maybe. Not that bad of a price considering the orig fare was only $74 one way before taxes and fees.

Yeah I guess it fluctuates. My son and I just did CDG YYZ and business went out with four empty seats. Spoke with the SD and he she mentioned that the loads haven't been great on that route either lately.
