So we can all get a handle on how they are going to work in the real world, how much they will cost, et c.
Post flight, date, route, original fare basis (T, T+, Lat, etc), and if known, seat inventory (i.e. J9, C7, Z5, I3). If you do upgrade, please also let us know how many empty J seats there were in the cabin, if any. And if you were considering a certificate upgrade, why or why you didn't opt for the LMU.
It would be helpful if this thread could be limited to "just the facts" and no discussion, which could be posted elsewhere. That should make this thread more useful for everyone.

I can't find a FAQ on LMUs. Is there one?
Specifically wondering:
- How does the computer determine if you'll get an offer for LMU with AC? Is it random, or based on how often you fly with AC?
- If not offered one on the computer system, can you still try for a counter upgrade upon arrival at airport?

Got offer $538 for two award tickets for LAX-YVR via OLCI - so $269 each. It's a J award but that segment is in Y. Declined - not worth it for a 2.5 hr flight.

had to go to NYC at last minute. sadly, co-worker who is more senior wanted to fly AC.
LMU offered - YYZ-LGA 23 hours out 169 plus tax. declined. T+ ticket although who knows, could be Lat with the amount i had to pay. 12A is always good enough for me....i can buy a few beers for that price! had to reprint bording pass...still available at 4 hours out. same price.
