So we can all get a handle on how they are going to work in the real world, how much they will cost, et c.

Post flight, date, route, original fare basis (T, T+, Lat, etc), and if known, seat inventory (i.e. J9, C7, Z5, I3). If you do upgrade, please also let us know how many empty J seats there were in the cabin, if any. And if you were considering a certificate upgrade, why or why you didn't opt for the LMU.

It would be helpful if this thread could be limited to "just the facts" and no discussion, which could be posted elsewhere. That should make this thread more useful for everyone.

Should anyone want to discuss LMU's further please post in this thread:

AC 008
T fare
OLCI @ 19 hrs prior
$399

Declined. I have the money to pay for it, but I'd rather spend another month in my apartment than 4 hours in a 77W pod...

$149
Declined....plane was maybe 60% full....picked a seat in the back and had several rows to myself anyways.

EWR-YYZ AC 773
$149
Declined...not as lucky as the outbound flight, but was still a quick enough flight to not make it worth it.

I thought the exact same thing when I got my offer in the reverse route. If I'd had the money I would've taken the Exec deal, considering I booked late and was paying mid-high 300s for the ticket already anyways...

YYZ-YOW - W Reward ticket - $99, declined

(Embraer J seats barely larger than Y, MLL crowded, 1 hr flight how much food could they serve? Will invest $10 in a hearty Exchange Cafe breakfast in YYZ T1 instead! ^ )

Not much activity here since Dec 31st, I wonder if we are not being offered this as often as before, or is it just a reflection of planes being full up front?

SAN-YVR, W class, US$ 229.

Accepted. But OLCI first accepted process, then said that it was no longer available. But flight is wide open in J.

Can one call in to res for them to process upgrade?

MIA - YYZ

Paid $285 and the J cabin was half full, Y was full and I had bought the ticket at a very discounted price, $99 promotion...so totally worth it.
We got delayed by almost 2 hours due to fog but had to remain in the cabin...and the FA served us so many drinks while waiting!

PBI-YYZ, $229USD per person yesterday (Jan 11th). Accepted for myself and wife when I did OLCI 24 hours prior. Also had an infant and there was no issue with the LMU.

At OLCI flight was J9 R8 and left with every seat filled in J. Aircraft was A321.
