So we can all get a handle on how they are going to work in the real world, how much they will cost, et c.

Post flight, date, route, original fare basis (T, T+, Lat, etc), and if known, seat inventory (i.e. J9, C7, Z5, I3). If you do upgrade, please also let us know how many empty J seats there were in the cabin, if any. And if you were considering a certificate upgrade, why or why you didn't opt for the LMU.

It would be helpful if this thread could be limited to "just the facts" and no discussion, which could be posted elsewhere. That should make this thread more useful for everyone.

Should anyone want to discuss LMU's further please post in this thread:

Is this a typo? I don't even see an E90 from YYC-YEG...

Welcome to FT!

Seems strange - given the back is obviously oversold you'd think AC would be extra keen to sell LMUs

If you have any status I'd be surprised if you wouldn't be sitting up front anyways judging by how oversold the flight seems.

This makes no sense.

It's one thing to not offer an LMU when it's R0, and you have people waitlisted for an upgrade with their hard-earned eups.

It's quite another in this situation, where R9 Y0 just screams "op-up".

And sometimes I wonder why AC can't turn a profit...

YYZ-FRA AC872, Saturday, August 17th.

R/0 J/7 C/5 D/5 Z/0
Y/9 B/9 M/9 U/9 H/0 Q/0 V/0 W/0 S/0 T/0 L/0 K/0

LMU Offered: $1418.

Ticket was a Flex W fare.

Heck no - That's more than my round trip cost. I'm happy in my Row 18 seat.

LHR-YEG, AC899, Sat 17 Aug

OLCI at T-21, with about J1, R0, Y1.

Offered LMU for Ģ999. No thanks! Would've eup'd, but saving my last credits for the eastbound return.

YOW-YVR $518 . Declined. The cost did not change duringthe 24h period before departure and the offer disappeard online perhaps 3 hours before the flight. However it appeared again when I was reprinting my boarding pass at YOW. The flight was 100% full.

Is it just me or is that a good deal? I probably would've jumped all over those, too.

Itīs not a bad deal based on LMU prices posted recently, but $1000 for an upgrade on a 8h day-time flight still isnīt exactly a "spectacular bargain" in my books.
