So we can all get a handle on how they are going to work in the real world, how much they will cost, et c.

Post flight, date, route, original fare basis (T, T+, Lat, etc), and if known, seat inventory (i.e. J9, C7, Z5, I3). If you do upgrade, please also let us know how many empty J seats there were in the cabin, if any. And if you were considering a certificate upgrade, why or why you didn't opt for the LMU.

It would be helpful if this thread could be limited to "just the facts" and no discussion, which could be posted elsewhere. That should make this thread more useful for everyone.

Should anyone want to discuss LMU's further please post in this thread:

It was on was (presumably) the return-leg, so perhaps YYZENG wanted to rest more comfortably on the way back?

Can you check again for offers closer to departure? I'm really curious about the cost changes.

YUL-YVR a couple of weeks ago. Was J5 R0 when I checked in at CDG. LMU offered for EUR 269. Declined but upgraded at gate.

That's pretty much the reason.

Outbound YYZ, I was heading for vacation and didn't really need to sleep. On return, however, I had to work immediately the next day and needed the sleep and so I upgraded.

Anyone successfully LMU for AC63 for Feb 23?

I am asking because I am on the waitlist as a nominee (the kind FT sponsor is an SE) and since T-24 I noticed it has gone from J4 to now J1. In fact, right at T-24 it went from J4 to J3. Quite suspicious.

Side note: My itinerary is tied to my non-status friend's AE booking that I booked for her, so hopefully that isn't c0ckblocking me from getting the upgrade.

AC570 YYC-LAX T-24 $298

Declined as I have the family with me.

As another note, my Aeroplan number isn't associated with the ticket. I tried to re-check in but still won't let me add it. Gives me the whole "fees payable at the airport" thing for my checked bag. Obviously when I check-in at the airport I'll straighten it out, but first time this has happened to me.

BP prints out as *A as well with no mention of my status.

Was offered $199 MCO-YYZ on Friday from M class flight pass, A321. Thought it wasn't enough value but after reading that comment, maybe should have!
