So we can all get a handle on how they are going to work in the real world, how much they will cost, et c.
Post flight, date, route, original fare basis (T, T+, Lat, etc), and if known, seat inventory (i.e. J9, C7, Z5, I3). If you do upgrade, please also let us know how many empty J seats there were in the cabin, if any. And if you were considering a certificate upgrade, why or why you didn't opt for the LMU.
It would be helpful if this thread could be limited to "just the facts" and no discussion, which could be posted elsewhere. That should make this thread more useful for everyone.
Should anyone want to discuss LMU's further please post in this thread:

Agreed. There's a supply-demand factor going on here. If there are a lot of data points, it'd be useful to graph this. Two short years ago, I paid ~$350 for a YVR-YYZ LMU, and now it appears that it's north of $500. There are some YVR-SYD LMU's that were charged less than $900, and now we're seeing LMU's greater than $1k.

YQR-YYZ Friday Dec. 2 $549! Declined.
YYZ-YQR Sunday Dec. 4 $299. Slightly tempted but declined.
Full bus in both cases, at least in the back.

AC8330 YYC-YWG $89 + tax from T+. Accepted. J9, C9, Z9, R9 at time of OLCI.
This one surprised me. In the past few months, I've seen upgrade prices on the steady rise, and in some cases to just plain ridiclious levels (i.e Jan's $598 from YYC-YYZ). BUt this price is actually lower, as I am used to seeing it at $99.
Obviously AC has tied LMU prices to J availability more than they used to...

AC 176 yesterday.
YEG-YUL from T+ (S) to J offered online for $359.00. Declined. Also not enough eupgrades left, so I sat at the back
Flight was full in economy, and I believe exec was full as well, but to be honest, I didn't look that carefully. it was an E90.

that makes it even worse. what were the Z fares when you booked?
just checked in for a YYZ-YVR flight, booked with aeropesos...upgrade for only CAD$798 per person.W.T.F...!! FAIL. funny, checked in two separate PNR's at T-24. offered for 1 but not the other. seat map only shows one seat. funny, looked like someone took up the LMU since the seat is GONE...J0/R0.

MEM-YYZ-YUL, 8 hours before departure, offered upgrade on YYZ-YUL portion for $139, declined. Also not worth spending 6 eUpgrade credits on....
MEM-YYZ is on a CRJ-100 with no J in any case.

It doesn't sound like too many were buying LMU's at the lower rates, but the new LMU prices are just stupid. I guess that should be a benefit to those wanting to use ecerts.

Some of those LMU offers are ridiculous.
It seems the LMUs are now calculated based on the fare difference between the fare purchased and the available fare (possibly only full-fare J right now)
As somebody who doesn´t buy LMUs I like this development!^
