So we can all get a handle on how they are going to work in the real world, how much they will cost, et c.
Post flight, date, route, original fare basis (T, T+, Lat, etc), and if known, seat inventory (i.e. J9, C7, Z5, I3). If you do upgrade, please also let us know how many empty J seats there were in the cabin, if any. And if you were considering a certificate upgrade, why or why you didn't opt for the LMU.
It would be helpful if this thread could be limited to "just the facts" and no discussion, which could be posted elsewhere. That should make this thread more useful for everyone.
Should anyone want to discuss LMU's further please post in this thread:

YVR-YYZ and vice-versa
YVR-YYZ and back, $329 for both flights, T+, offered at OLCIs 24h out and again at kiosks 1-1.5hrs out when I reprinted my BPs. Outbound flight (AC34) was full, inbound (AC1167) about 70% full. Declined both.

This may not fall into the LMU category. I was offered an upgrade to J for LHR-YYZ (AC 849) yesterday for 398 GBP. I declined.

There was a sign offering 399 Euro LMUP at the check-in counter in Rome for my flight today from FCO-YYZ.
Declined as I was perfectly happy with my bulkhead seat.

AC137
17 hours before departure:
$329
Declined.
5 hours before departure:
Not offered.
(Co-incidentally, I had pulled up Seatcounter on this route -- as I needed a later flight; J was down to 2, so the lack of an Upgrade button on OLCI wasn't surprising.)

YUL --> LGA 17 July - offered at online check-in 1 1/2 hours before flight at $129.
LGA --> YUL 19 July - offered at online check-in at 10 am and also at kiosk 1 1/2 hours before flight, also $129.
Declined due to short duration of the flight.
Due to turbulence, only front cabin got served drinks on YUL --> LGA, so maybe I should have accepted? (expensive drink for $129, though!)

AC 8591 YXE-YYC $99 + tax offered at OLCI last night (C5, J5, Z5). Changed my flight to AC 8587 this AM, and was offered the same option (C8, J8, Z8).
1 hour flight, no MLL in YXE (the worst airport in Canada), no dice. That would have been one pricey cheese plate!

YVR to SFO $199
YVR - SFO
$199 at OLCI
Night before departure (about 13 hours prior)
Declined.
Back of the plane looked full at check-in, but I'm in bulkhead seats on a 2-2 configuration plane. Sitting one row further up just ain't worth it, though I did use a NA UG cert on the way here.

Eze - yyz us $680
I just came back this morning from EZE. I was offered an upgrade for $680. At first I thought it may have been 680 Peso (which I may have considered), but alas it was in $US ??
Like many who have posted before me, I decided 12A was probably good enough based on this price. J was very empty from EZE-SCL and not full on SCL-YYZ, so unlike SHAREHOLDER, no op ups either way (although the person sitting beside me from SCL-EZE on Thursday was led up to the front by a FA - he was also Elite)

YYZ - ORD, 24 hours before from Tango+, July 31 AC511, 129+tax = 135.45 per person. Space for myself and traveling companion available. Declined.
Checked right after on AC.com and J=2, and guessing I=2 as a dummy booking for 2 showed flight space to upgrade with a cert.

Checked friends in on YYZ-LIM today and they were both offered upgrades of $699 CAD. Declined. They were booked in B and H class and since it was an old, non XMd 763...why bother?
