So we can all get a handle on how they are going to work in the real world, how much they will cost, et c.

Post flight, date, route, original fare basis (T, T+, Lat, etc), and if known, seat inventory (i.e. J9, C7, Z5, I3). If you do upgrade, please also let us know how many empty J seats there were in the cabin, if any. And if you were considering a certificate upgrade, why or why you didn't opt for the LMU.

It would be helpful if this thread could be limited to "just the facts" and no discussion, which could be posted elsewhere. That should make this thread more useful for everyone.

Should anyone want to discuss LMU's further please post in this thread:

YYZ-CUN upgrade on a AE ticket for my brother. He accepted the $199.00 fee.

Also saw a group of four upgrade at the ckin desk on my return from CUN with a hand full of money. I fortunately got to ckin just after and snagged the last J seat with a SSWU from my tango plus fare, took the seat away from a couple of guys travelling at the ckin desk beside me.

Question...
Flying 2 segments on 1 trip. 1st segment is on Jazz crj, no biz.
Second segment is on AC A320, obviously WITH biz class.

If I purchase OLCI upgrade for second segment, but the first segment is delayed to the point of missing my booked second segment, do I loose any money paid for the upgrade? Or, will my upgrade be recognized on the flight I get put onto? Or..assuming the second segment flight I'm rebooked on doesn't have any biz seats available, am I entitled to a refund?

thanks

YYC-HNL Tomorrow OLCI at -24hr mark LMU (on a "Three Amigo" ) was $779 plus taxes.
Sadly I could not justify this expense on a non Xmed 767. Perhaps on the way back on the red eye, also if it were a little cheaper, then maybe.

DECLINED!

Its interesting to note that the J class availability is completely unchanged on this flight since I did my ONCI and was offered the absurd LMU of $779.(at the -24hr mark, its now much later)
So no one has 'taken the bait' from AC on this one as far as I can see. I'd bet that if the price was closer to $350 mark per person that all the seats (R6) would all be gone.

YYZ-BGI

Flying tomorrow 23-Jan YOW-YYZ-BGI. At 22.5 hrs prior to YOW departure (check-in seq0001), and 25 hrs prior to YYZ departure (check-in seq0002), was offered $269 for YYZ-BGI only. (No offer made for YOW-YYZ.) I accepted. For a 5 hr flight on an XM'd 767, I'll take it. Makes for an expensive omelet, but flight credits aren't usable until 1-March.

YVR-YYC Jan 23, A320 version 2.

23 hours before departure, R0. Forgot to check number of open seats.

2.5 hours before departure, R2, 6 of 14 seats free, T+ flight pass booking (presumably M?), $99. I accepted. Short flight, but deep down I'm a princess.

Ditto again today!

Plane is apparently 1/2 empty. Methinks $359 is outrageous and will sherpa my food.
