So we can all get a handle on how they are going to work in the real world, how much they will cost, et c.

Post flight, date, route, original fare basis (T, T+, Lat, etc), and if known, seat inventory (i.e. J9, C7, Z5, I3). If you do upgrade, please also let us know how many empty J seats there were in the cabin, if any. And if you were considering a certificate upgrade, why or why you didn't opt for the LMU.

It would be helpful if this thread could be limited to "just the facts" and no discussion, which could be posted elsewhere. That should make this thread more useful for everyone.

Should anyone want to discuss LMU's further please post in this thread:

YYZ-ORD T+ fare, wanted LMU but not offered. Appeared to be oversold in Y. Onboard, after the door was closed, FA announced she was "moving some passengers for weight distribution" which meant taking two seemingly non-status passengers and moving them to J. At least one other apparent SE and I were bypassed, but the people moved were two rows behind me.

ORD-YYZ T+ fare, OLCI offered LMU but not interested, did not check price.

T+ LMU offered $129 - no taxes to be added though unlike above post

Plane's lightly booked.
Checked in online previous night - not offered - then reprint boarding pass at kiosk and it was offered.

SFO-YVR

OLCI: $199 US per person. Declined.

Equipment was an E90. When we boarded, only 1 person was in J.

IMHO, $199 is a ridiculously high price to charge for an upgrade to a 2 hr flight.

LMU to halifax

$210 one way 24hrs before when I checked in online.

Don't ask the staff at check-in or the gate as the LMU is only online or when you check-in yourself at the machine.
