So we can all get a handle on how they are going to work in the real world, how much they will cost, et c.

Post flight, date, route, original fare basis (T, T+, Lat, etc), and if known, seat inventory (i.e. J9, C7, Z5, I3). If you do upgrade, please also let us know how many empty J seats there were in the cabin, if any. And if you were considering a certificate upgrade, why or why you didn't opt for the LMU.

It would be helpful if this thread could be limited to "just the facts" and no discussion, which could be posted elsewhere. That should make this thread more useful for everyone.

Both flights Economy was absolutely full.

yup, i confirmed this with an old booking....booked a one way in T on a 15% discount...LMU'd for $399 YVR-YYZ and on AP statement.......AIR CANADA XXXX Vancouver International Apt (BC) - Toronto Lester B Pearson Intl Apt (ON) (status activity...) Yes miles 2,078....nice eh!

Have the following:

SFO-DEN (UA)
DEN-YUL (AC)

I know I have to check-in with UA but wondered if it is possible to get an option to purchase an upgrade for 2nd leg of trip. Y is full except preferred seats, which I opted to snag to avoid the middle seat lotto game).

Is OLCI for the 2nd leg an "option"? First time on AC...
