Web Check-in

Is anyone having trouble with Web Check-in today? My flight is at 10:30am and it is now 11:30am the day before. After I select my name to check in and continue - I get "Your transaction could not be completed as your flight is not available for check-in.
Please see an Air Canada Agent at the airport to complete your check-in. "
Thanks!

Do you have a connection? I believe that online check-in is not available until after the time of your connection or something of the sort. For example, when I am flying YUL-LHR-BRU, I cannot check-in until 24 hours from the time of the LHR-BRU flight. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on this.

I've been able to check in 24 hours before my first flight when I've had a connection. I find that OLCI is not always available right at the 24 hour mark, sometimes it takes an hour or two before it opens up.

This has been my experience as well. Both YYZ-LHR-MAN and YYZ-YVR-HNL. Not sure if it is different if you have only domestic flights (I want to say that I did manage to check in at 24 hours before the first flight when I was going YYZ-YUL-YYY, but I cannot remember).

Yes me as well - the last connection I had did cause an issue - but I never did figure out the timing ... I just kept trying ... always better to be checked in before the airport :D

This is YVR-YYZ-DCA and last time I did the route I was able to get OLCI 24hrs before the first flight............

Absolutely nothing! I'm pretty well experienced at using OLCI:confused:

On a completely different, unrelated item I'm heading to the airport right now for a meeting - can one use the kiosk the day before to get boarding passes?

Was flying recently out of SFO. Tried to use web checkin, but since it was an AC flight operated by United, the OLCI didn't work.

Got to the airport, went to checkin at the AC kiosk, was then told had to go to UA.

Had this happen, so I called my local airport (small) and GA told me that the flight had been cancelled.
also had this problem when connecting from a US to delta flight, it wouldnt allow me to check in since the US system didnt recognize the delta flight

Regardless of codeshare, you always check in with the operating carrier.

Broken...

It does seem to be currently broken... try the mobile check in and see if you're getting the same message. The 2 systems seem to go down at various times...

update - checked in YYZ to FRA and the connection FRA to PRG... seems all good on the webfront.

As others have mentioned, I wasn't able to check in today until my US connection was at the 24 hour window. Once that struck it worked without a hitch.

Nope, the kiosk will tell you to go see an agent.
