Double membership?

Is there a rule against one person having more than one Aeroplan membership number?

It would seem that by crediting 35K each Jan/Feb to alternating accounts, both accounts would always be "elite" or "instant elite" hence twice as many SSWUs and twice as many multi-colour wallpaper segments!

The obvious drawback is that it would take longer to rack up enough miles in each account for a "worthwhile" redemption but I believe there are, of course, one or two other ways to obtain award miles...

From the Aeroplan terms and conditions:

12. An Aeroplan member must enroll individually, only once, and in his/her full legal name. Membership is solely for the benefit of the individual, therefore it will be maintained in the name of an individual.

Thanks for clarifying. I missed that bit whilst skimming the T&Cs.
