Double Airmiles VS Air Canada Prestige question

I was Prestige with Air Canada for year 2006(Feb) - 2007(Feb). I moved to Tokyo in 2006 so I wasn't able to use a single upgrade certificate. My travel patterns made me a ANA Platinum for 2007(April) - 2008 (April). I am back in Vancouver and likley based in Vancouver for the next couple of years.

My flight patterns for the next few years is likely economy tickets (yes local governments are poor) in BC few times a year. Maybe a round trip West to East coast to Ottawa. Definately one to two trips to Tokyo/ Hong Kong per year.

Now the question is this. I have a trip to Asia in two weeks on ANA. I have a two options.

1) I can credit the flights to ANA (due to my Plat status with them). I will get double miles. I will not have enough miles to reach their Bronze status though.

2) I can credit my Air Canada account which would put be over for Air Canada Prestige. (I have my last few trips earlier this year credited to Air Canada)

I obtained permanent Star Alliance Gold Status (some ANA thing) so Lounge Access and Priority Lines don't matter.

Which do you think is the better option? Any suggestions is welcomed.

If you have permanent *A Gold, why do you need AC P? You should have lounge access and priority lines / boarding.

As for upgrades, you would need latitude fares to upgrade in NA and P does not get SSWUs so your chance of upgrade may not be high.
