I'm having the same issue on one way flights from Europe to the US. Nothing in Y, J or F unless the flight is the same day.

Update: Called in, it's a known IT issue. They expect it to be resolved "soon".

I had a moment of panic when I "accidentally deleted" reward availability when on the Aeroplan website.

1) Found flight I needed (3 seats in Business Reward Class I; not IKK / Class R).
2) Pressed "Book" twice by mistake.
3) Reward availability gone. Unable to find it again... Gone off Expert Flyer as well.
4) Depression sets in.
4) Check again 15 minutes - availability restored. Tickets booked. Relief.

That's very intentional, and probably a good thing. It actually holds the seats at that point in the process so that someone else can't book them while you're fumbling around for birth dates and credit card information.

As you noticed, the hold is fairly short-lived.

Are you sure about that?

I don't know about rewards, but as far as AC.com goes, the website does not hold inventory, and it is not booked / held until the payment information is submitted and confirmed.

The only way to really hold inventory is via a GDS.

Yes, I'm sure. It's easy to reproduce. I can show you exactly where it happens when I get home and can take screenshots more easily.

May be the wrong thread- but I'm on the AE website and see an itinerary I like- BOM-YYZ via DEL and WAW. See image

The connection in WAW is 40min which seems destined to be a missed cnx. If I book this itinerary, will AC or AE or LOT put me on the same flight the next day, or a comparable flight leaving the same day on an appropriate carrier in J?

Edit: Can't seem to attach screenshot at the moment.

If same day cancellation / misconnect, you're eligible for whatever is the earliest flight out. You'll just have to determine what is acceptable for yourself.

You're better off dealing with the airline that caused the misconnections.

eUp history page definitely says I've been upgraded even though I'm only waitlisted. If I put in the ref/name again, it correctly says waitlisted.

Though it's also a Latitude upgrade on a flight that's P>0 Z>0 R0, so I shouldn't be waitlisted.

Edit: I tweeted them, linking to the page on their site explaining the rules, even quoting them.

Hello Scott,
You are waitlisted, yes. The airport agents will tell you if you are upgraded or not.

Does that count as an AC.com experience?

Since it is negative and/or involves electronic things at AC, I would say Yes.

"Hello Scott,

In base 10, 1+1+1=3, but our system is in binary, so it's actually 11 (you know, "eleven").
The airport agents will tell you if it is May 32nd or not.

Regards,
AC employee who might work at the airport"

Looks like a systemwide outage. Groundstop in effect currently.

Don’t fool yourself into thinking Amadeus is immune to outages.
