If you're absolutely high maintenance and expect the world when paying a T fare, well, you will be disappointed. If you're paying a full J fare and have a bad experience, then you will be pissed. If you go in with reasonable expectations and a good-humoured attitude, then I'd say that, more than average, AC should be at least able to meet that/those expectation(s).

This is no different than you venting to a stranger on the street or your friends about your own company, experiences, etc. |

I guess you missed the whole CCAA thing where we gave up anywhere from 15 to 30% of our salaries?
That is why my opinion of AC have increased over the last year. I had 2 absolutely wonderful In charges, and they were actually for flights in the back of the bus and one a little over a year ago for a transborder in J. They are seasoned AC flight staff and builds a lot of team spirit with their flight crew and look after the passengers between services with water service at intervals, etc rather than staying in the galley for a good part of the trip only chatting to each other or reading magazines or books for hours. I had significant conversations with those in charges and one felt bad about charging passengers for meals, etc. since he spent most of his career where it was a part of the service. I asked about the concessions a little with 1-2 and they said that yes it happened and they are being asked to do more but it happened with a lot of other airlines too. They try not to let that effect the service they or their crew provides to the passenger. I was not prepared for the great service and had nothing to thanks the in charge / crew with except a big smile and a sincere thank you. I was so impressed with the crew in the Vegas trip (in J but the in charge spent a lot of time in the back with service) that I gave one of the 2 bottles of French champagnes I was taking to a friend to the FAs to help them celebrate the new year. On a couple of return flights from Europe, I met with great FA / crew that I have given away some of my belgium chocolate stash as thank you. I find the LHR trips (often in C on upgrade) has good food, good seat with decent but not spectacular service. Of course international C is far better than international Y and the service in both cabins met my expectation for their respective cabins but I don't think I had one that stood out in my mind as having memorable service. But I do think the FAs that get these international flights are more senior... oppp, just realized that I am significantly off topic... |

Advertising to the world how clueless Canadians must be when it comes to wines. An embarrassment to all of us. |
