The interiors of Jazz Dash 8s are awful. They are old and tired and add nothing to the comfort and enjoyment of a flight.

Thank you very much for all the replies!
The flight in question was AC 8095, which was supposed to be on DH3. However, they changed it to a DH1. Flight went smoothly and was nowhere as scary I thought!! This was also my first time on AC Jazz. Why is that they provided bite size snacks (crunchies) while AC doesn't?? |

.. and as jimmac has clearly stated - third-world interiors...
If your knickers are in such a twist about tarmac to tarmac service, why don't ask your local airport authority to invest in jetways for turboprops? |
SOT: Dash 8
Not that you would ever want to, but could you fly from
Victoria to St. John's entirely in a DH1(3)? If so, how long would that take? |

I'm pretty sure I was given the sesame-flavoured salt lumps on a mainline AC flight recently...Or am I just imagining it?

Hmm, I didn't get any on my AC105 flight from YYZ-YVR this weekend.

It has been about 6 months since I've been served the sesame snacks on a flight (and even longer since the sun mix). Are they gone for good? I hope not as these were my favourite of the free airline food snacks.

Ditto for me

I may be in the minority but for an hour flight I still prefer a Dash 8 to an RJ. I find the Dash 8 has more room and at least I can look out the window without having a chiropractor on retainer. :D
Next to some big ... 747, they are the most fun to watch take off IMHO.^ Ford |

Nothing like over-the-top hyperbole to make a point. I was on a DH3 last week and the interior was fine. So it was green instead of the new AC blue, so what?

I'm quite happy to report that they don't pander to AC any longer.

What's so bad about a CRJ?

Slower, louder, colder and more comfortable than a CRJ. If the flight can be done in an hour or so, I'd take the DH everytime. So what's wrong with CRJ's? I'm considering taking one for a planned YEG-YYJ trip and I'm loving the routing (0800-0840 nonstop on a CRJ). Would I be more comfortable on a 320/DH3 combination even if it takes longer? I'm a pretty big person - 6 feet, 260 lbs. |
