I totally agree. Hence the original question, not will I get caught but should I do it.

I think that since the OP asked the question that way, they really would like to use the card but don't feel right about it and are looking for some rationalizations from the rest of us to make them feel okay. Sorry, no such rationalization here. If you don't deserve the perk, don't try to get it illegally.

I would hope that most, if not all, of us would not shoplift if no one was watching, take multiple papers from a newspaper coin box, keep money that we saw someone drop, etc. Really, it's all theft regardless of how you try to spin it.
