I can book and price many more in Galileo on AC routings. Here are 15 on 1 ticket!

Here is a sample YVR-LHR-YVR. Check out the fuel surcharge!

is that booked through a TA? or is there an online service that allows you that kind of flexibility... I used to do wierd routings like that when I flew DL alot in the US, but I haven't found anyone crazy enough to help me build itins like that for AC...

For those that don't feel like figuring it out... if that itin actually could be priced... it would work out to approx 15300 status miles round trip, versus 9400ish if you went YVR-LHR-YVR non-stops both ways...

with the SE 100% bonus the difference really creeps up there. Then tack on the double miles promo across the pond and we're really talking...

That certainly doesn't look anything like the fare calculation ! :)

Isn't it:
YVR-YEA-YYC-YWG-YYZ-LHR-YOW-YHZ-YOW-YUL-YWG-YYC-YEA-YXE-YEA-YVR ?

When looking at the fare rules, they only list the routings in one direction. The route could be reversed which he did on the way back. The problem is... starting in Vancouver, you're limited with fighting time zones I'd think. Whereas on the way back he's got time zones working on his side.

Hey, come on, WT, this is a Galileo autoquote. They seem to prefer the city code rather than the airport code.

And as for the comments on the routing by yyz_atc_qq, the problem eastbound is that all flights into Saskatchewan from YEG are in the late afternoon, and you don't want to miss the opportunity to earn cheap miles YEG-YYC, so this ends up requiring an overnight in Calgary unless you have the stamina to do a redeye YYC-YYZ which I would choose not to do for health reasons.

Another problem if you want to do the entire routing eastbound are the flights in and out of YHZ which tend to be rather full. In the end, you really have to count the costs and benefits. Each segment adds a lot of fuel surcharge, and each overnight costs a hotel unless you're mtacchi.

I consider a 397.00 fuel surcharge for that many segments/miles not that bad. I am still pissed that I pay NavCan fees on flights from YYZ-YXU but not from YYZ-LHR... tell me how that makes sense.

Then again I don't think I should have to pay NavCan fees at all... it's like paying myself. (ducks as the flames start to come :) )
