OT: Harmony codeshare with China Eastern
According to news reported by China's Xinhua News Agency, China Eastern and Harmony Airways signed a code-share deal which will covers:
Shanghai-Vancouver by MU 346 Vancouver-Calgary by HQ CRJ Vancouver-Toronto by HQ 757 Effective date is unknow, but probably as soon as possible subject to government approval |
Wasn't SQ talking about buying China Eastern? At any rate, an interesting note.

I really don't understand MU. With their winter schedule, their PVG-YVR flight leaves PVG at 11am, too early for connections from around China and Asia and it takes about 2 hours to do a transit in PVG. On the way back, their flight leaves YVR at 750am, too early for connections from other parts of Canada.
What's the point of this code share? BTW, I flew them with my parents last May/June and their A346 were actually at most 40-50% full. This year, my parents flew them again in May/June are their A346 were 90++% full. Business on MU improved a lot over the last year. |
