Again, just for the record, and following from my original query of Jun 30, another seat sale has apparently begun today (23 August), but lasting for only one week.
It's still the case that I would have saved only C$40 per person by booking now for the particular dates I ended up choosing in advance. But had I not booked already, I could have delayed my departure by three days and saved a further C$30 per person. I remain happy to have booked earlier and had a good choice of seats rather than wait for such modest savings.
