OS Seat Selection
 

Flying to VIE on an AC code share with OS. Is it possible to choose a seat in advance of the flight? Or is it airport only? Seat selection wasn't available on ac.com or by calling AC. Will OS allow seat selection by calling them direct?

Call OS. You should be able to get advanced seat selection. It isn't like an intra-Europe flight.

Any luck calling OS for your seat selection? I'm in the same boat--bought some tickets on aircanada.com but was unable to pick seats on an OS segment back YYZ. When I called AC, they put some request through and I got a middle seat, but I'd like to pick my own. I think the way aircanada.com handles Star Alliance flights stink, since you can almost never pick seats. If I pay for my flight, I at least want to have an option of choosing my seat :) .

Are you flying in Y class? Asian carriers typically does not assign seats in advance. They will note your preference window/aisle/middle but only assign the seats at checkin. J class is a different matter, they will allow you to select your seat.

OS=Austrian Airways...you are probably thinking OZ (Asiana) and I know that they might not always assign seats up front.
