OT: Edmonton trumps Calgary any day

Couldn't help but share the truth with my fellow FTers. ;) :D

The old joke goes that in order to get to Calgary from Edmonton, you walk south until you smell it and west until you step in it.

Maybe that's taking things a bit too far, but there's no question that Edmonton is Alberta's best city.

Both articles indicate that we're both C-list cities
"wicked wedge at 2am" - the crappiest pizza ever
"the women (that we sexually harass) on the red mile"
"traffic" - right, calgary has traffic problems
I like this argument:
"Snow Valley ski hill ... right inside the city limits"

Each to their own I guess :p

At least Edmonton has the gumption to elect the odd Liberal . . .

"If Calgarians are good ol' boys with pick-up trucks and cowboy hats, Edmontonians are shopkeepers with Infinitis and sensible winter boots."

There are a HECK of a lot of pickup trucks in the E, too. What's the difference between a porcupine and a pickup truck? The porcupine has the pricks on the outside. Or replace "pickup truck driver" with some other car/group that you want to offend. boo...hiss...

No offense meant for pickup owners who don't actually drive like jerks! ;)

And Whyte ave on a friday night has kinda lost it's appeal unless you're into stepping over barf to try and engage/avoid your next fight...

And, I BBQ'ed last night! It's not just a summer activity!

But all in all the E is better. :D

Are you related to CoffeeBean by any chance? The selective factoids are the give-away.
