Another Air Canada eMail SNAFU
I received an email concerning food service that starts off with:
You have booked flight(s) for travel on 12/29/05 As it happens I do not have any flights booked then.
Shades of the 2004 "Congratulations on making Prestige" email many of us SE mebers got last year. It really worries me when we get these emails containing personal data (my travel plans) with incorrect information. What controls do Air Canada have in place to prevent this -- not enough it appears

I recieved the same email, my travel date does coincide with my "Flight Pass to The Sun" expiry date though. So I think they are assuming I will travel prior to that date.

And mine had a correct mid-December date for my TANGO+ flight to YEG (which I intend to upgrade), so perhaps it corresponds to the pass expiry or a flight you'd booked and cancelled.
So I suppose it's more than pizza toppings that changed today, though I assume this relates to the final ending of meals on the ultra-longhauls in NAmerica, like LAX, SFO and YVR ex-YYZ. All other flights ended basic meal service a few months back (at least that was the case for YYC and YEG which still made the original cut-off).

Just received mine with flight dates for December that I don't have booked.
Maybe I will be travelling then, who knows, is this going to be a new service, anyone know the AC psychic hotline number??? Is this just for SE members
