Jeez,I gave up this seat earlier this year so I could sit in the mini J cabin next to parnel.

I've only sat in 5K once, and perhaps this is not normal, but it was a true 180 degrees lie-flat seat. I really didn't notice the noise from the lav. Perhaps the Bose QC2s helped.

I hate the mini J cabin. I would pick a middle seat in the main J cabin over any seat in the mini J cabin.
I always try for 5K on a night transatlantic. The extra recline more than makes up for being served your meal last. Usually avoid it on the way back in the afternoon though. Like most window seats it just becomes a pain to get out if both 4H and 5H are fully reclined.

I flew AC137 on Monday Sept 5th and the plane was switched to a 762.

Correction to my post. I happened to pass through YVR yesterday and to my surprise and amazement AC142 was not downgraded from a 333 to a domestic 767.

It was operated by an A321.

A small trick learned from an AC employee sitting with me on 137 (Sept 19th). The pins on those seats can be removed and they drop down to a lie-flat. Somewhat acceptable in row 5 as there's nobody behind you.
