No need to bother with taking the shuttle to the Blue Line subway anymore. A better alternative is to take the new Silver Line bus that stops outside each terminal—runs about every 10-15 minutes.

For just $1.25, the Silver Line takes you directly into downtown's South Station where you can also transfer free to the Red Line subway (if you're going to Cambridge or heading to Downtown Crossing, etc.) Link for MBTA route info

It's a bargain compared to the chance of getting stuck and running up the meter in tunnel traffic along with all the surchages tacked on. If you want to cab it, get one after you exit South Station.

Stay at a hotel in the city since Boston is all about walking. The airport hotels aren't convenient enough to step outside and get to where you're going to see the sites. Plenty of accomodations to choose from too.

Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market are great fun, as is the USS Constitution and walking the Freedom Trail. The Boston Common is nice as is a stroll up and down Newbury Street "window-shopping."

For real excitement, go see a game at Fenway, and scream "long live the Yankees" or "eh, too hawt dawgs heer" :D :D The Fenway Franks are a must.

I don't know if the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library is accessible but that might be an option.

Sunday brunch at the Four Seasons Hotel or Ritz-Carlton might be an option as well.

For Boston I would definately do a duck tour. Fun, reasonably priced and you get to see alot of Boston. http://www.bostonducktours.com/
Book ahead as they get filled up esp at the good times.
Other things to do:

1. You MUST do a REd Sox game. Tickets wise about 2 hours or so go ot GAte C at FEnway and they always have same day tickets. Much better then a broker

2. Freedom Trail including lunch at Fanueil Hall

3. Harvard Yard. Harvard had free tours at 10 and 1 I believe by students that give the history of Harvard. Excellent choice.

4. Dinner at Top of the Hub is a bit pricey but great view

5. Shopping/Tea on Newbury Street

I'll be flying into BOS this weekend and then doing the hopefully scenic drive to central NH (didn't want to do the BEH thing into MHT). I plan to be at BOS early for the return trip so a lounge visit would be nice.

Good tips though offered here... I've been to BOS in the past but never had to do everything that has been suggested.

There is a UA RCC lounge. We passed through Boston, 1.5 weeks ago.

It is just ok but good thing is that it is situated airside, so you do not have to factor in extra time for security like in , e.g. LGA.

Boston is a lovely city. I usually stay at the Back Bay Hilton. It is accessible easily by public transport from BOS airport.

I loved BOS.

But the RCC was a different story... ;)

I wouldn't go to KSG just for Michael Ignatieff..... he is moving to the UofT as an endowed Professor of Human Rights.... and possible Liberal Party leadership run....
