Great AC crew
Flew YYZ-LHR last night and was really impressed by an extremely attentive and friendly crew. The great thing about AC is that when you do get good service (which is most of the time these days), it feels completely genuine rather than scripted by a customer service training manual. Just thought I'd share this...

I've done the YYC-LHR route 5 times this year and would have to say that I share the comment, genuine attentiveness and good service without a miss.

What a change from a year ago when most if not all of these threads were
b!tch sessions about lousy service. Those of us who have had some patience with AC and been "productively" critical are now seeing the difference. AC has been getting the message about service and they have acted on it. These things take time to turn around but concrete results are showing and lets hope they don't sit on their laurels. |

My inflight service experiences this year have been similarily positive.
Now if only AC Customer Solutions will make improvements to their service. 9 weeks and still wating for a response to my letter! :( |
I have been on the flight from YYZ-LHR with excellent service. I had to write in especially about the IC who was excellent. But this service levels should be applied to all flights consistently, now that would be a miracle.

I likewise continue to be pleased with the service (and above and beyond the call of duty service from concierges). Now if they could fix up those grotty interiors faster, I would be even more happy! (I am just a happy guy  )

The FA was apologetic and wasn't snippy at all with the pax. ^ |
Just got off AC873 FRA-YYZ and was extremely impressed by the high level of service in the J cabin; possibly one of my top 3 experiences on trans-Atlantic flights.
In-charge FA Bob ^ That being said, the IFE on A333 FIN#935 crashed about 3 times..... |
I flew YYC-LHR twice in June and the service in J was excellent - great friendly crew. The crew was the same on two of the flights and several of the FA's remembered that I had travelled the same route two weeks earlier. And the food was very good too - the lamb was wonderful! I have no complaints about the service on AC lately and it has vastly improved over the last year or two. Keep it up AC.

I'm a big supporter of AC, and I hate to rain on the parade of positive comments, but there is another dimension to the story. The counterpoint is that International service has always been pretty good, and bad flights were the exception. Domestically however the service still has a long way to go.
I would advance the position that in the last 18 months, I've seen/felt a marked decrease in the quality of food and the attentivness of the staff. For the record I am referring to longhaul N/A like YYZ-SFO. Here's an example, when the "new" executive service was announced, all plates were garnished with a couple of points of crisp flat bread and some type of green like lemon grass or parsley. Today the meals are approaching the quality of the Y meals of old. I was served a Y meal a few weeks ago because I upgraded at the last minute on LAX-YYZ. The incharge was very apologetic, and made an effort to dress my chicken up by serving it on J plates. My seat mate also had chicken and we could not tell the difference between the two meals? The meals by status thread, should raise somebody's eyebrows at AC that work is still required on their service offering judging by the range of experiences. Parnel is right, changes don;t happen overnight, and improvements take time to filter through the system, but as a FF on AC metal, I feel strongly that the domestic offering is going the wrong way. DF I have to agree the exec first service is usually very good esp. YYZ-LHR, transboarder exec. class is very different. I was on a very recent MIA-YYZ flight where the Y pax were lined up using the J lav. the in-charge, while very affable, he did nothing to steam the flow up front. PJB |
