This is what UA called its international business class service back in 1993/4 and every so often there's a ghost in the AC red system that resurrects it. UA bought the name from AC who had used the same name (slightly modified spelling) for its domestic business class in the mid/late '80s. I've had this appear occasionally on AC-issued UA flight boarding passes in the past too.

Air China boarding pass has AC*G

Shall I attempt to enter Maple Leaf Lounge (even if I no longer have Star Gold) status?
How about a Star Gold Lounge in China?

Are you asking if you SHOULD, or if you CAN?

Because I suspect the answers will be different.

Didn't try in Canada but no issues getting in lounge in China.

Just checked in for an AC flight today and it shows E50K- AC*S on my mobile bp. Looks like the bug is back.

Checked in on AC website for second leg of connection - got only first segment BP from the first airline. Did not have a printer so got BPs at airport. Other airline BP says AC*G but the AC BP says AC*D. (The pdf from OLCI said AC*G.) Thai lounge did not have a problem with it. Lucky because my card is in my checked bag, I think.

From my experience when another carrier prints out an AC boarding pass someone who has E50K will see AC*E and 75K will get AC*D. Have seen this with Lufthansa.

Just a short comment on this. LH/LX and those on the LH Amadeus platform get your status when you create the PNR. It is this status that feeds through to DCS and your boarding pass. Thus, if your status changes (i.e. goes down) you could end up with *G on the BP even though your status has been downgraded. I have tested this (not with my own boarding pass) and received lounged access to Senator lounge in ZRH with this.

AC populates the status on flight creation in DCS so it is always current (or at least 2-3 days old).

If you have a booking in LH/LX etc then if your status goes up after booking, go into your PNR, remove the FQTV and then save without a number. Then add the number back and your status will be updated.

E75K is coded as D internally, which I suppose is passed through to other airlines.

E50K is E, E35K is F, P25K is P, S100K is SE.

What does ML*2/FLA mean?

What does ML*2/FLA mean?

My inside sources tell me the following, but I don't believe them. I think they are trolling me.

1. "Maximum Load times 2 divided by flight level average"
2. "SE2MM muffin top reaching critical level"
3. "Passenger who has eaten twice the average level of Mac and Cheese, en route to Florida"

So what does ML*2/FLA actually mean?

(Apologies if this has already addressed in this thread... did a search but could not find it)

ML*2 means you were cleared from standby onto the flight.

I've never seen FLA.

My seatmate yesterday had it on his BP. I kept on staring at it as I also had never seen such a code before.

I saw AC*PL on a manifest recently for someone's status. I have no idea what it means either.

Interesting. Perhaps this thread deserves wikification.

Perhaps PL is the new 200K level?

Sounds like my current Altitude status where PL = pretty lame.
