Need Help
Can one of the ELITE FF's please pm me with the aeroplan phone number... sighs... :(
I can't read the darn phone number ( have been trying for the last 5 mins here )... I can read 1-800-270... but the last 4 are just too small... Sorry folks, it was bad last year but this year it is impossible for me. I really do HATE the way the only important stuff on the back of the card is so tiny. |
Thanks to both Skeena1 and Prestige for PM'ing me.
I did manage to get through to Aeroplan with the number given. However, if somebody has the ELITE number, I will file it somewhere safe for future reference... |
If you log in to the Aeroplan web site, and put in your user id and password, you should be directed to the Elite specific part of the the web site, including all contact information that is specific for Elite members of Aeroplan (this information being different from the contact information which is accessible to the public in the main part of the Aeroplan web site).

thanks
Thanks to SleepingDog and AnselmAdorne for your pms... giving me the ELITE numbers.
It was most appreciated and they have been stored safely within my passport wallet for future reference. |
Actually my SO had the same problem the other day, no new 2005 elite card and the number on the back of his card was US. The site didn't give us additional hints...

I agree the numbers are printed in rather small type, but if you really cannot read them, I suggest you get a good opthimological examination and new set of lenses before the BC medical insurance program delists these services as has just been done in Ontario. I got new lenses and just need to hold my card about 11-inches from my eyes and the numbers come into focus. Hmmm, I wonder if any of the Aeroplan award experiences covers an eye examination and set of eyeglasses/contact lenses?

Not Funny, For your Eyes only
This is actually a common problem (and thank god its finally been raised) regarding the size of the print. It's simply too small. A few weeks ago, I was at the airport and was calling the E desk to confirm something......but couldn't see the small print. Had to stop a passerby to help.
Granted, I am not 21 anymore.....but I do NOT need reading glasses and resent having to squint and still not be able to detect the fine print. Next year.....PLEASE MADE the telephone number larger AC. Thanks.....got my rant off. CFB |
thanks CanFly... my eyes are not that bad at all...
in fact, they were just checked in Oct. of 2004. I was told by the Eye specialist, I only need glasses for distance/ driving ... not for reading. ( mind you I didn't take my little AC card to the examination when checking out lenses ) IF I am struggling that much with the fine print on the AC card, there must be hundreds worse off than me. I do not need glasses to read a newspaper or a book, do needlework or anything else BUT read the AC card. As I have said before, the only important thing we need to read on the back of that card are the numbers to call. AC is NOT addressing that issue. It was also difficult last year, but I could still make it out with a little extra effort. However, this year is impossible for me. |
The blue background on which the tiny black numbers are printed certainly doesn't help either.

drumbo  |
Perhaps AC is actually hoping that if the print is too small, people won't be able to read it and therefore they won't call...... thus, needing less employees on the phones? We all know that the trend now in many businesses is to go online, or use machines for check-in....
Unfortunately as many FFs know....those who do travel a fair amount, have times that they need to talk to a REAL PERSON. We can't reach anybody through e-mail, so all we have left is a phone line. which brings up another topic for me... reaching somebody via e-mail. :( |

Follow Up
Just as a quick f/u......I have placed the AC*E telephone numbers into my cell and Blackberry since looking at the card is virtually impossible.
Undoubtedly, I am not alone. Agree that the blue background doesn't help. CFB |
I actually just got a new prescription and still find it difficult to read -- I guess I must have got a bad prescription or maybe bad lenses -- or maybe should not read the card after a double Jameson! :p
