The site still doesn't work with Mozilla and tries me to direct me to another site to download a different browser. Sorry, I will just head over to a different airlines site and buy a ticket on a different airline.

I thought WINDOWS was the dinosaur of the computing world. A 2-year old iBook running OS9 is not. I am still unable even to load the AC site, having removed cookies, and followed all the other instructions given me from AC tech support. Now they say it is a problem with my ISP, Rogers.

So can any of the Tech Savvy souls here please explain why I cannot get onto the AC site, but can still access with no problem AEROPLAN and DESTINA? And every other site I have been using for the past two years with this Mac?

It is indeed baffling, since I have OS 8.6 - now five years old and admittedly long in the tooth - and Rogers. I am able to do anything on the site except get an international fare display. I have no intention of involving Rogers in this - that's asking for a worse headache. If I couldn't load the whole site, it might be worth pursuing with Rogers, but to not load only one function makes it pointless to even discuss with TED. Anyway, I continue to pursue top-down solutions. Were you able to load the site from that Powerbook (OS X) you were going to try?

Still can't log in; been getting An error has occurred while processing your request. Please try again later. since the site was launched on Sat. My understanding is that I am not the only one.

You are certainly not -- I've been getting exactly the same thing.

I suspect it may have something to do with the data that is contained in (or is missing from) one's profile as entering an incorrect PIN generates a different "An invalid Aeroplan Number or password was entered" error message. So the system is getting as far as validating the PIN, but no further...

I've been able to log in and take a dummy booking right up to the payment stage on both Mozilla and Firefox tonight finally. :)

Maybe they came out of the blocks too quickly on this upgrade but they are anxious to get new products and easy to understand fare structures out there so they secure the business that awaits them. ..

Yeah but what was the big rush? Why not wait until the bugs were ironed out.

As to those pointing out the complexity of the AC business, surely there are other major carriers who have gone through the same process. Why not buy their system?

Well, I still don't, using Mozilla. Might have to do with my setup. Still, in my book it's their problem. At the very least, the error message should be useful, not just the "error has occurred, try later."

I remember several years ago when they rolled out the supposedly well tested BA system and there was chaos for weeks at the ariports as agents struggled mightly with all sorts of bugs and the line ups were incredible....I remember it well as I was on the road every week, taking 6-8 segements weekly and then some. It was a lot more brutal than this is..although this is costing them money at the booking stage.
