OT: The Amazing Race 6
Seemed like a good time for a new thread for the new season...

Nice to see that CBS stuck with Tuesday night which was so popular in Season 5. It is on an hour earlier than last season, occupying the slot that Big Brother 5 was in through the summer.

CBS's Tuesnight sked is tanking with CLUBHOUSE a dud, and the military version of CSI not really clicking as well as the Vegas, Miami and NYC versions. AMAZING RACE is a better match to AMY having a larger female skew. But I expect it will be repeated on Saturday as Series 5 was. Still, good news that we won't have to wait too much longer.

The network (ABC/CBS/NBC whichever???) is advertizing the start of the next series for November 16th.
I swear I just saw Nathan Philips square in Toronto in the background of one shot. The fountains were on where the skating rink usually is (since Canada is mostly winter ).

Update
The season premiere of The Amazing Race 6 (1 week from tonight!! ^ ) will be rebroadcast on Saturday Nov 20 at 8 pm.
CBS is doing a scheduling shuffle after cancelling Clubhouse (big shock). At least for now it seems that the repeat is not planned for a weekly basis as the next Saturday doesn't have it scheduled.

Love the show cant wait. The only reality show that I would even want to be on!
Slightly, OT, but it has slowly built its ratings over each season, but judging by the people I talk to who have loved the show since the beginning, it must have a pretty good demographic that has helped it survive.

Is it just me or are there fewer product placements in the last AR than in previous ones? I remember AR4 when they had racers call home on a T Mobile phone. AA has been on board since very early on, but seems less obvious tie-ins than in the past. Now there's enough with the Audi cars everyone is driving, etc but these are much more subtle. Maybe Celine & AC can be worked in somehow on a future AR?
This comes to mind just having watched a PBS Frontline documentary on the whole advertising game, err business. Good viewing and no commercials! ^
