When searching for an award ticket I got the following option presented:

Calgary (AB)

what - 250 points? They could route the darned thing via TOM (Timbuktu!) and you'd still only earn the 250 half-miles between YVR and YYC! ;)

a) miles are awarded per segment, and b) the IP was searching for an AWARD trip. BTW, robsawatsky, if I were you, I would book it just to see what happens ;-)

Well, I think AC stands a good chance of having this flight arrive ontime (+15) ;)

Nah, there won't be a plane to fly it. :D

I tried some other random combos for Aeroplan awards and got a couple of other "hits" with obviously wrong departure dates. These were all non-stop flights of durations apparently exceeding several months, with connections to other flights to complete the routing. Not like the award routings where you get the convenience of 3 segments in one direction with a 1 - day and 2 - day layover at each connection.

To continue the fun, be sure to book these flights through Destina. :D
