Using Self Check In on AC Codeshare Flights
Good evening all!
I have an unusual question and cannot seem to get a straight answer from Air Canada so I will ask here if anyone happens to know. I have an Air Canada Ticket for flights from Toronto to Vienna. Ticket is issued by Air Canada with AC Flight numbers but operated by Austrian Airlines. Will I be able to use the Self Check In Kiosks at Terminal 1 to check in for this flight??? I have called AC twice - 1 person said yes (they think so) second said probably not (and not sure). I am assuming since AC issued the ticket I will get full Aeroplan miles even thou its on OS metal. Has anyone flown OS lately from Canada to Vienna? How is the service these days? All the reports i am getting is pretty mixed - some hate and some love. Thank you to all! Alek |
If I recall correctly, I checked in with the AC Elite Desk (this was pre-SE days) at the old T1 last October.
Some info you may find useful from my trip to VIE and onwards: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20992 Simon |

I found the OS service nice on my last flight IAD-VIE in late March, although flying their "Grand Class" at that time. Their business class seat reclines pretty good, but unless you are sitting in the bulkhead row the fully reclined back of the seat in front of you may squeeze your feet if you put up your (for my taste way too short) footrest completely. |
AC kiosk for AC operated flights only. You will need to check in at the counters.
