I just had an experience with a concierge in YWG yesterday and wow what atitude!

I realized about 10 minutes before boarding my flight back home I had my parent's Remote Garage Door opener in my pocket. I went up to the ticket counter at gate T to explain my problem to the agent (where can I leave something at the airport for pick up ?).

Before the agent could respond, the concierge, who was a couple of feet away said "I'll handle it!". She took the remote control, my parents phone number and before we landed in YYZ the remote control was re-united.

You have to love these guys the way they make sure all is okay....

I got met and walked to the fastest line at Immigration I have ever seen at SYD...NO line ups..straight through, bags were there 5 mins after and I was out of the AP within 25mins of landing...

Now Thats fast.

I agree with Empress we should forward this on to AC, maybe we could do a letter and all sign it.

I love the conceirges but to be frank with you I do not see them as much as I used to in the good old days. I know they are there and a quick call usually gets one fast, expect in LHR where they are hard to reach.

If I knew the concierge was meeting me up at YVR when I got off my YYZ-YVR yesterday, I would have printed this thread off and gave her a copy.

If you guys don't have much to add, I'll forward a copy of this to the stations with concierge services.

As for me - hard to pinpoint a specific concierge, they've ALL been very helpful and friendly.

As a Concierge, I want to say THANK YOU for recognizing this incredible group that I work with.

I second Empress' comments re: Concierges in all locations have provided exceptional service.

I can honestly say I will miss the Concierge Service the most when I fall to E on Mar. 1st!

I am totally new to the forum but have found the topics most enlightening. I have been Platinum level at Canadian since it started and have been *AC SE. I find the Calgary and LHR concierge group extremely helpful. This is a service that AC wanted ot discontinue and I, amongst others, wrote to AC and they actually listend. I find this to be the best benefit of being *SE

Its funny, I have had many a concierge come up to me knowing who I am....Its so nice especially when you have had a long trip...

FYI - the YVR/YYZ/LHR concierge(s) all told me they loved this thread and really appreciate the compliments.
