I now carry both a pink and yellow copy with me at all times with my passport so I just show it each time I enter and leave Canada.
So stupid...of course back in April/May we had no forms, but 6 months later we have them. |
I just have a yellow form I keep with me and show it to the customs guy each time I go through.. I should get them to stamp it just to see how many times they actually look at it...
You only have to do the pink ones when your originating in Toronto... Connecting passengers don't get them... B |
Health Canada seems to think it's a futile effort as well...

What a waste of paper. Last time we flew into Canada we were given these papers which I proceeded to chuck in the bin at the earliest opportunity.
Some immigration goon-woman told me that it was illegal to throw the forms out and that I should keep it with me for the next fourteen days, She reached into the bin and picked them back out and gave them to me. I chucked them out in the next bin. |
They seem to have gotten worse also, or the ones for the Asia flights have made their way into regular transborder -- now we have SARS forms with about 8 pages in all different languages rather than just one double-sided.
Wouldn't it be way more efficient to just give out the form in the language of one's choice -- i.e., have some foreign language ones available, but don't have humungous forms with all that paper waste? |
A complete waste of time....I am heading back in today....
I wonder what will happen if I don't follow commands... I have 3 hours to $hit disturb http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif |

Yesterday IAH-YEG on CO1962 I saw the FAs being given the 'yellow' sheets in IAH but then they didn't distribute them. It didn't matter because Canada Customs didn't even ask for them....

Hey gang...
Apparently it was in the ticker on the news this morning that they may be getting rid of the forms soon as they are assessing the cost of all the new Flu equipmentthey have purchased and have at the arrivals area in YYZ and other stations. I'll be glad to not have to hand out those blasted forms again... Oh by the way (whispering) the answers are NO, NO and NO....don't let health Canada know I told you. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif |

The idea of the yellow forms is a) You keep them with you for 14 days
b) If any of your answers change from No to Yes go to the Hospital and get quarantined for 14 days!!! ( Go staright to hospital and do not pass GO) |
