Free messaging for Aeroplan members on WiFi-equipped AC flights

There's all kinds of speculation going on LinkedIn today all spawned by a post by Mark Nasr:

Luckily, it will be a short wait to find out what he is teasing.

The distance and the "out of this world" had me jump to something orbital, but I suspect it's just the number of trips and distance flown as Aeroplan redemptions.

36,000 km is the orbital distance for geosynchronous satellites but would be way under the number of Aeroplan flown mileage per year.

Sounds a lot like that, but he said it would be (or likely be) an industry first, and I think a bunch of airlines offer free wifi to all passengers (loyalty members or not).

Across the entire network? I think Delta announced they would start offering it but don't think it applies to International itineraries.

Hopefully some new/restored routes...didn't they cancel some routes in 2022?

500000/year, a new category for SE's to hit is one guess.

That doesn't seem like an Aeroplan announcement. The free WiFi idea above is more logical - an Aeroplan benefit, fits with "out of this world", 36,000 km is geosynchronous orbit, etc. Or could have to do with the roll-out of in-flight TV. But something satellite-related seems most likely.

Since no one's said it yet, 38.25M is the population of Canada.

StatsCan put it at 39,566,248 in January, and although Nasr must be intending to refer to population given the coincidence with that older figure, its surprising the head of loyalty does is using 2 year old data when pop growth is now 1m+ per year.
