I've been SE since it was first introduced with the exception of the period from March 1 this year to today (I just reached 100k status miles again yesterday). But even as Elite, the concierges have still been there for me.

That's because they understand the "relationship" factor and a long standing SE who may have fallen this year still has contributed in the past.

For the record I do find concierge helping many types of people every day regardless of high or no status http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/thumbsup.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/thumbsup.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/thumbsup.gif

Like helping out and opening the MLL in YEG the other day. She was gone a half hour later when one of the regular agents showed up.

Hmmm...that's nice to hear but where was the concierge or any other AC employee to open the YVR Transborder MLL while I (and 10 others) were waiting at 6 am for someone to show up. BTW, the AC website still says the lounge opens at 5:30 am but the door says 6 am and the staff member arrived non-chalantly and without apology at 6:15 am. No that's customer service. The UA FF's were not impressed and neither way I.

PW, I've yet to see anything positive from you about anything on AC yet you continue to fly them. What gives?

I must take a moment and point out the two very wonderful and loyal concierges at YEG--Kim and Debbie. Always meet SE's,at least me anyway, for every flt going and coming, always pleasant and always asking if they can do more for you.
They have given me their cell numbers, which I have used, to call them if urgent assistence is needed.

Concierges can do anything within reason. This is still one of the greatest benefits of SE. They keep track of the passengers and seem to pop up whenever they are needed. I hope this service continues.

Heh... Anne R. from YYZ met me on the plane Saturday AM to Ottawa as I was flying home... She thanked me for the basket and also mentioned my notes here on Flyertalk....

They appear to be listening and appreciate our feedback!

They definitely do read Flyertalk and really appreciate the comments. I've had a few concierges come on the plane and addressed me by 'Empress'. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Were they surprised you didn't have a skirt on? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Well got a chance to meet and see two more from YYZ in action this evening ... Catherine and Judy ... ORD was/is a mess today but they were excellent in taking care of myself (I may even get to ORD tonight http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif) and others in the lounge ...

Thanks to BOTH!

The concierge service and the instant KK are two of the main reasons I pushed for SE this year. Even as an elite I once enjoyed the almost magical abilities of the AC concierges to work small miracles http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/thumbsup.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/thumbsup.gif.

Now if the Elite centre could clear my last unposted segment to push me from 99,713 to 100,213, I'll be able to enjoy these SE benefits too.

almost SE

Lots of pure mileage runs you did just to make it (almost 100K worth of them? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif).

That's a tad unfair http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/rolleyes.gif, I'll admit to about 70K worth of mileage runs http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif in 2003, but I did do over 30K worth of legit biz flying this year too.

Maybe aiming for SE was a bit of a stretch, but I think I remember a FTer with over 15,000 posts recommending I try do it. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/tongue.gif

your friend,

Glad to see you make it though. Hope they post your flight before the deadline and you'll get to enjoy SE right away. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/thumbsup.gif
