Seat selection broken?
 
Trying to change seats on a North American itinerary, currently booked in Y, waitlisted for J. Seat maps will not even come up on my iPhone. When I try through a desktop browser, the seat map does come up, lets me select the seats, but then ignores the selection (on both legs). Plenty of room on the flight. Anybody else experience this glitch?

Did it display the Y cabin or J cabin seat map? I had issues in the past with waitlisted flights which prompt me to select the J seats in advance (not really helping and I did not even get the J seats I selected after upgrade).

AC's IT is notoriously quirky. Clear the browser history / cache and try again, that often fixes such problems.

It also behaves similarly when I have to select a seat through Android app and it opens up a browser window, I select the seats and it does not go anywhere. However, when I normally close the popup and go back, it usually retains my selection. So perhaps give it some time to see if your selection actually persisted?

Y. Upgrade not cleared yet.

Unable to select seat
 
Has anyone had any issues in the last 48hrs selecting a seat? I am flying from SFO-YVR and it was booked through UA, and I keep on getting errors when selecting my free seat. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, calling is the only solution. I’ve had this happen before and the agent on the phone can solve it.

Jazz flights no longer have seat select.
I can apply for a job but not select a seat

It's brutal.
I had to call in to change my flight to that one as the online tool to change wouldn't work.

I've had sucess requesting call back from the chat part of app instead of calling in, or getting them to fix it. Had same issue with seat selection in app for jazz flight yesterday, switching to laptop browser fixed it for me.

Air Canada Vacations Seat Selection/Upgrade
 
Has anyone had troubles trying to upgrade an Air Canada Vacations package? We are flying YWG-YYZ-PUJ and I had to call to book the flight as opposed to online to make the connection we wanted but ACV was unable to book us in Premium Economy for some reason unknown to the agent, so we went ahead with an economy booking. Now for the past week I've been unable to at least select seats on the ACV seat selection tool as the connection just times out. I called again and was able to select seats for the YWG-YYZ legs but they're still unable to upgrade the package because Premium Economy isn't available on the YWG-YYZ legs. I haven't had issues doing this in the past so I'm not sure what is up this time.
