I've missed the warm nuts & hot towels but for me, one of the biggest positives in this announcement is that they'll hang my jacket. I usually end up flying with a blazer / sport coat or whatever, and on those long haul sectors having to scrunch it up in the bin (or hang it on the minuscule "hook" really irked me.

Overall, there are a few enhancements, but mostly just restoration of pre-covid service levels- which I am not complaining about. Quite happy to see this!

I'll be in the YUL Int'l MLL in a couple weeks, hopefully they'll have some of the "bubbly and rosé" on offer.
They have been hanging my jacket for a few months now.

Is slippery a part of the new amenity? Flying YYZ-NRT today and it’s my first time seeing AC provides it. That said, I don’t fly AC transpacific too often so I don’t really know.

No specific mention of bringing back warmed nuts or plated main course.

Wonder if they will be part of these enhancements.

That's been my experience as well. I thought they'd quietly resumed it, didn't know it was unofficial until now.

Slippers have been on transpacific flights and other ULR flights (eg: YYZ-DOH) for a while, although they may have taken a hiatus during Covid.

It will be nice to be able to stop complaining about the absence of these things and go back to griping about their presence. Like how 50% of each towel is piping hot while the other half is either stone cold or bone dry. Etc. Can’t wait!

Well, there is this mention (emphasis mine):

  • Return of pre-departure beverages on international flights, plus hot towel service and warm nuts bar snacks throughout all our premium cabins

I hope they can give us slippers in domestic and TATL signature cabins.

They sell fares that permit this. I don't see them offering it free for status, nor am I sure I want them to.

Got an email a few minutes ago from AC saying I have free wifi on my November trip. The funny thing is I am in economy and not flying premium rouge for this PNR, but the email says, "as you are flying in PR". Wonder if my status pass has anything to do with this.

Don't get your hopes up. Nowhere in that press release is Champagne mentioned. AC is struggling to offer proper Champagne in its J cabins, there is no way they will be offering it in lounges.

The LHR MLL had Champagne until a few months ago. Not anymore.

I've started bringing my own pair of new disposable slippers for TATL flights in signature and it's been wonderful.

Announcements =/= execution.

Most of this sounds good. Let's see how it goes.
Still wish they could get some little / simple things right (basic IT functions...) while also implementing these changes.

That's a disappointing downgrade. One more reason not to connect at LHR.
