Important Event Notes - FAQ
- It’s in November. That’s not really fall, is it?
Yes, technically it’s still fall until December 21. - Will the YYC Fall Do offer superior dining and beverage service?
Yes. The restaurant has a very long whisky list and the best burgers in town. You can savour a sit-down meal from the à la carte menu crafted for the Do. - What if I like hockey puck beef?
Then you're a weirdo, but I guess you can ask them to do it.
Important Event Notes (real ones this time!)
- The burger and Scotch theme is purely optional. Those are the specialties of the restaurant, but you're free to have a salad and a Coke Zero, fish and white wine or whatever floats your boat.
- We will have access to a few of the restaurant's recent Whisky Wednesday tasting menus which offer a flight of 3-4 whiskies at a reduced price. For past Do attendees, this is the same as previous years

Edit: just remembered I'm in Singapore on the 4th. Not sure how fast I can make it back!

I'm also attempting to "rearrange" some plans.
I have flights and a hotel booked. But they're all refundable.

hmm
My mind is clearly in the gutter reading this.
But, 1) I know you better than this and 2) while the better ones get booked first, they are never refundable!

Sorry, "hotel" often swipes out to "girl" for me, even though I never use "girl" in a sentence, and often use "hotel".

Okay, I'm confirmed, subject to Adam Smith doing a far, far better job of weather management this time around.

I have a meeting in the Toronto area at 1pm on Sunday ... so the only way I could make this do, would be to take the red-eye home on Saturday night. And I hate red-eye's.
Even so, and against my better judgement, I have booked a (refundable) ticket for now - so I'm at least a "maybe"

official sign up coming soon.
Good to express interest here though.
I should be OK for this. If I can survive a trip to Indonesia at a conference with 600 people, I think Scotch and Burgers should be OK.
