Is Row 17 on A321 a preferred seat or not?

Is Row 17 on A321 a preferred seat or not?

Booking page shows NOT a preferred seat

But info page and seatguru shows its a preferred seat

Any ideas?

What does row 26 or 28 show in the first screen shot?

EDIT: Why am I asking? To see if if this is v1 or v2 of the 321.

Are there two versions of the 321 layout?

While SeatGuru shows a v1 and a v2, Air Canada's fleet page on its website only shows a single configuration... with row 17 as Preferred.

But I just checked the seat map for my upcoming YYC-YYZ flight on a 321, and (like the OP) it shows 17 as regular Y seating. Whassup?

Does this have anything to do with the J reduction on the 321 I wonder? (for the two versions)

Are rows 14 and 15 on the A321 no longer preferred seats? Here's what I'm seeing at aircanada.com:

The 321 I flew on last week in row 15 had the same pitch as regular Y seats. Nothing preferred about it.

See Youtube video, the video was shoot from Seat 17F,the Prefer seat that cost $60 CAD, which I do not see big difference compared to regular seat pitch.

A321 Preferred Seats

Online I am seeing 2 versions of the A321...

With those that have 16J, it now looks like rows 14 and 15 are no longer preferred seats. But Preferred seating resumes at row 16/17 for the exit row.

Is this actually the case, or am I missing something?

I could have sworn the last A321 I was on with 16 J still had preferred seating in row 14/15.

Just trying to confirm for a future booking.

Thx.

Are they both mainline 321s?

There are mainline 321s with both 14J and 16J.

In fact, I'm booked in 1AC on an upcoming flight (YYZ-YVR I think).

I've been on that config in row 14 - they are definitely not a preferred seat and comparable to the regular Y pitch.

One seat isn't enough for you anymore?

I booked on an A321 YYZ-LAX flight today and rows 14 and 15 were definitely not Preferred. Rows 16 and 17 were; I booked into Row 13 which was, along with Row 12.
(Just the one seat for me, the other for Mrs Haz, no armrest removal.)
