Limited Availability on Married Segments

I have a Western USA flight pass (books into Flex M), and I'm trying to book a flight from YYC to IAH on September 11. The most common routing right now is YYCYYZIAH. The direct YYCIAH flight starts back up October 30 according to the timetable.

Surprisingly, all but one option is "Sold Out" on that day. Individually, there's M availability for each segment. But, together as YYCYYZIAH, it drops to 0. This is the first time this type of logic has hit me. Has anyone else seen such differences in availability for individual versus married segments? I can't think of why YYCYYZIAH would be limited like this!

Here's the availability from EF for AC 136 and AC 8891 on September 11, for example.

AC 136 (YYCYYZ)

J1 C0 D0 Z0 P0 R0 Y9 B3 M0 U0 H0 Q0 V0 W0 S0 T0 L0 K0 G0 (Married)
