MLLs - information & experiences (July 2022 onwards)

Since MLLs appear to have gone back essentially to normal in July, we'll retire the MLLs in the time of COVID thread and try a general thread on MLL experiences, like we have for in-flight meals.

If you have questions regarding whether you're eligible to access the MLL, or which MLL(s) you will be able to access, please visit the thread dedicated to that topic. Questions about lounge access in this thread will be deleted.

Recent visit to the MLL the other day (entered as a * Gold with a United boarding pass, only had about 30 min and didn't want to burn a UC pass for a short visit). Fairly full but no problem getting a seat, mask not required. I tried the wraps for the food and they were good.

Only difference from before Covid is the bar is no longer self serve, so had to ask for that, but no problems getting drinks. Pictures below:

QR codes gone too in YYZ domestic.
A couple hot items at breakfast that were occasionally replenished.

Were the hot items similar to QR code-ordering stuff, or was it like pre-covid hot item "food"?

The sweatbox that is YUL Dom MLL actually has the odd seat open at 07:30. I expect that to change as more and more rows on the departure board turn red.

The lounge dragon informed me on checking in that our flight just got pushed for an hour due to "aircraft availability". The flight shows as the same FIN that's been sitting there since 18:30 yesterday.

I guess they misplaced the keys.

Happens to all of us.

I still think that the YVR Dom MLL (men's) main lavatory is a sweatbox. I always find it warm and humid in there, no matter the season.

Not sure if it's already been mentioned but YUL DOM has switched to plated food - no more cardboard boxes.

Portion sizes are bigger than the togo boxes and quality was quite decent.

Substantially more normal-sized than they used to be. Both the bread and amount of smoked meat are no longer jokes…

They weren't on the menu yesterday!

Breakfast was: Lox on bagel, Omelette, or Frittata
Lunch was: Thai chicken curry, Penne with vegetables, or Spring roll

I guess the meat quota was exceeded.
Maybe it's back to one thin slice soon.
