Air Canada Points Finder (currently in beta)
Hi !
I'm new to this and have been trying to use the Air Canada Point Finder Tool but for some reason, none of the flights displayed are available to book.
For example, YUL to ATH for 50k in Business class round-trip. Feels like an amazing deal but when I click to "Book", I can never find the same deal again.
I've been playing with the tool every day and can't find one flight that is the price of what the tool says.
Did anyone use it and got it working ?
Thank you

What point finder tool promised you YUL-ATH round-trip in J for 50,000 points?

Probably out of luck. It’s listed as Beta and also has the disclaimer:
“*Fares displayed have been collected within the last 48 hours and may no longer be available at the time of booking“

If AC had set out with the specific goal of destroying customer confidence in the value of Aeroplan points, I'm not sure how they would have built this tool differently.

I suspect that AC's definition of a Beta is not the same as mine. Or just about every Dev team I have ever worked with across multiple companies.
Or maybe it's just their definition of QA that's different. Yeah, that must be it.

I think Air Canada’s definition of Beta is “This tool doesn’t work, but we spent a lot of time on it, so let’s just launch it and call it a Beta”
