Partner Booking Fee Refund

Hi all,

Couldn't find a thread on this - was originally scheduled to fly on NH to HND, but due to IRROPS, I had to be rebooked on AC about six months ago.

Totally went over my head at the time, but was I supposed to receive a $39 refund for the partner booking fee as I am now on AC?

Traditionally, fuel or carrier surcharge has been waived during when irrops or other involuntary changes force them to move you to a carrier with that surcharge. But unfortunately the reverse is also true: no refund if you booked a carrier with the fee then got changed to AC.

Thanks - thought there might be a difference on award tix, especially with the $39 being so definitive, but if not, no issues. Thanks for the note!

Hmm. If you cancel, it's refunded. It might be interesting to call and ask.

Gave them another call, had a good agent. Mentioned that because it was involuntary - NH cancelled - they didn't recalculate points or miles. If it was voluntary, understandably, everything would be recalculated.

Makes sense to me, especially with AC's dynamic pricing these days
